Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Shepit. By using the app or our service you agree to them. Shepit is currently in a private testing phase and is offered to a limited group of testers.
Who we are
Shepit is operated by Rebbix LTD (Cyprus). You can reach us at oleksij@rebbix.com.
What Shepit does
Shepit is a dictation app for macOS. It records short audio you choose to dictate and converts it to text, either through your own OpenAI key (BYOK) or through the Shepit Cloud backend. The transcribed text is inserted on your device.
Eligibility and accounts
Access to the Cloud backend during the testing phase is limited to invited users on our allowlist. You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for keeping access to that account secure. We may grant or revoke access at our discretion during testing.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Shepit for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
- You are responsible for the content you dictate and for ensuring you have the right to process it.
Third-party services
Shepit relies on Google (sign-in, hosting) and OpenAI (transcription). Your use of the service through these providers is also subject to their respective terms. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
Shepit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This is pre-release software in active testing; it may be unavailable, may change, or may produce inaccurate transcriptions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Shepit. The service is offered free of charge during the testing phase.
Termination
You may stop using Shepit at any time. We may suspend or end your access during the testing phase at our discretion, for example to protect the service or wind down the test.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Cyprus.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
